Water Project

According to WHO report, 1.7 billion people use contaminated water for drinking. This cause diarrhea, dysentery, cholera and acute respiratory infections. Research shows, about 505,000 people die every year due to diarrheal disease.  Alwasiyo Welfare society major project for the community is the gift of clean water. In Islam, giving water is the best charity.

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported:

“…I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (PBUH), said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water….”

Surely, water is a great blessing from Allah. Unclean water is the biggest challenge to the community as it has detrimental effect on the health and lives and also produces water-borne disease in vulnerable children. Alwasiyo welfare society plays their best part in providing the clean drinking water for unserved communities. Alwasiyo and its team have set up a number of water projects, such as the installation of 5 solar pumps, 12 filtration plants, RO plants, and the drilling of 15 water wells in different areas.
